The role of a Yoco Business Solutions Consultant is focused but not limited to driving sales within the small to medium-sized enterprise segment.  This role will place you at the forefront of Yoco’s growth in its most important segment as well as become part of an amazing team dynamic.


Key duties in this role:

  • Answering incoming sales calls and (with some active sales-qualifying), understand merchants business needs and provide the best business solutions.
  • Facilitating the customer journey through our online registration with website visitors who are interested in learning more about Yoco.
  • Responding to sales inquiries via email and call.
  • Work internally with the sales management and marketing teams to ensure proper quality and quantity of leads.
  • Management of your accumulated pipeline of potential merchants through the Salesforce CRM to ensure targets are met.
  • Cross-functional and collaborative project work to enable your team and the company to focus on customer-centric growth.



If you are an individual who has at least 1 year of commercial inbound sales experience, is team orientated, enjoys working in a diverse environment, is able to be flexible in the workspace and adapt to changes, has a willingness to go beyond the call of duty from time to time and has the ability to collaborate and work outside of your key responsibilities (cross-functional projects) – we are looking for you!


Key requirements to perform responsibilities:

  • Proven inbound/telesales selling experience required
  • A reputable tertiary qualification
  • Eager to continue their sales career in a high growth company.
  • Ability to self-motivate, be target driven and able to manage your time effectively.
  • A lifelong learner that loves a challenge and is a true problem-solver
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to take initiative and proactively seek out the resources needed to solve the problem at hand.
  • Ability to easily adapt to a number of environments.
  • Ability to drive your own boat: the ability to fearlessly use the resources at your fingertips to resolve technical challenges especially when you don't know the answer.

Bonus points:

  • Tech-Savvy and knowledge of the South African Fintech industry
  • Knowledge of payments and the mobile Point of Sale space
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Experience in Small Business / B2B sales
  • Being able to speak multiple languages
