The People and Culture team is looking for a Technical Recruiter to help Yoco grow.

The People and Culture team is looking for a Technical Recruiter who could help us find this talent in a highly competitive market. The ideal candidate will be innovative, strategic and have extensive experience as a technical recruiter.

You will have the opportunity to partner with our application engineering, design, product and operational scalability teams to craft strategies that will attract and retain the best technical talent and enable us to continuously give our customers the products and services that will help them grow.



Key responsibilities:

  • Play an active role in building Yoco’s employer brand.
  • Use data and insights to build technical talent pipelines and assist with talent planning.
  • Partner with leadership to develop an acquisition strategy for technical talent.
  • Build and leverage multiple recruitment channels to attract the best talent.
  • Play an active role in organising and attending tech and other events.
  • Optimise recruitment processes to ensure that our processes are effective and scalable.
  • Train and coach hiring manager on writing technical job specs and conducting interviews. Act as a thinking partner when it comes to team design. 
  • Ensure that the candidate experience is smooth from first contact to on-boarding.



Key requirements to perform responsibilities successfully:

  • National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience in recruitment - proven experience as a technical recruiter. 
  • Experience in financial services or financial technology environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work streams independently.
  • Data-driven and forward thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Fantastic customer service ethic, high expectations for quality and attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve complex people problems, make decisions and provide expert advice.
  • Self-directed, willing to experiment and not afraid to fail.
