As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will work strategically with our Sales Development team to qualify deals and create dramatic growth for the Outbound Sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and prioritize prospective merchant partners.
  • Utilize cold calling and email campaigns to qualify leads and set up meetings between merchants and the Outbound Sales Team.
  • Build our business through outreach emails and phone calls.
  • Create a great first impression to our prospects and inspire them to learn how Yoco can benefit their business.
  • Gain sales exposure and experience by partnering with our sales reps 



Key requirements to perform responsibilities: 

  • At least 2 years of Sales Experience
  • Lifelong learner, loves a challenge, is a true problem-solver
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player
  • Ability to easily adapt to a number of environments
  • You can drive your own boat: the ability to fearlessly use the resources at your fingertips to resolve technical challenges especially when you don't know the answer
  • Determination, positive attitude, and ability to self-motivate

Bonus points:

  • Tech-Savvy 
  • Knowledge of payments and the mobile Point of Sale space
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Experience client-facing or sales role
  • Knowledge of the Payments industry

  • Communicating & influencing: Strong communication skills across various mediums, building collaborative relationships internally and externally

  • Preventing & solving problems: Diagnostic information gathering and research, analytical thinking, application of conceptual thinking to problem-solving.

  • Self-confidence, personal credibility, flexibility, adaptability and strong sense of personal accountability
