Solomon Mananga of Solomon's Window Cleaning Service in Hermanus.
Solomon is a self-starter. Established in Hermanus, his window cleaning business was conceived as a means to solve unemployment and he’s been providing his services to the locals for over 20 years.

I started my business because I saw the opportunity of people that stay in nice and beautiful areas that I believed needed to have a clear view of their area.

He takes pride in the fact that his employees are highly reliable and professional. He doesn’t see his business as a way of solely providing the practicality of cleaning windows, but rather as a means of providing people with the ability to see their surroundings more clearly.

There’s a need for small businesses in South Africa. I would say that they are a base for the economy because whatever the big businesses are making, they will always want to sell it to the small businesses. In order to keep the economy running, you need to have many small businesses.
